Pyuthan Division Road Office chief, engineer arrested with bribe money



KATHMANDU: The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has arrested Chief of the Division Road Office of Pyuthan, Dhruba Kumar Shrestha and engineer Niroj Maharjan red-handed with Rs 2 million bribe money from a restaurant in Kathmandu today.

A team of CIAA authorities arrested them for taking the bribe money from service seekers, according to CIAA.

According to CIAA, Shrestha and Maharjan were receiving the bribe assuring the service seekers to settle payment for the ongoing road construction project.
