KATHMANDU: Nepal Tarun Dal, a youth wing of the Nepali Congress, has demanded with the government to provide Rs 2.5 million each to gold medal winners of the 13th South Asian Games (SAG).

Issuing a press release on Wednesday, chairman of Tarun Dal Jitjang Basnet categorically stated that the Ministry of Youth and Sports and National Sports Council should provide Rs 1.5 million to silver medal winners and 1 million to bronze medal winners each.

Meanwhile, the Tarun Dal has accused the NSC of embezzling millions of rupees in the SAG sporting extravaganza.
