India ‘C’ defeats Nepal U-19 by 10 wkts



KATHMANDU: Nepal U-19 faced a ten-wicket defeat in the hand of India ‘C’ in the first match of the U-19 Challengers played in Hyderabad on Monday.

Chasing the 115-run target set by Nepal, India ‘C’ reached the target in 22.1 overs without losing any wickets.

For India, Arjun Ajad contributed 67 runs as Dibhyanas Ajay Kumar Saxena made not out 52 runs.

Earlier electing to bat first after winning the toss, Nepal managed to notch up 114 runs on the board losing all wickets in 32.1 overs.

For Nepal, Kushal Malla high-scored at 26 runs as Sher Mall, Arun Airee and Pratish GC made 14, 13 and 11 runs respectively.

Nepal will take on India ‘A’ on Wednesday.
