Two die in road mishap



JALESHWOR: Two persons died in separate accidents in district headquarters, JalesHwor, on Sunday.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) at District Police Office, Mahottari, Madhav Prasad Budhathoki, a tractor knocked down an elderly on Sunday morning and a tipper ran over a child in the evening.

The tractor (Lu 2 Ta 7699) had seriously injured Raj Kumar Mukhiya, a nine-year-old son of Binod Mukhiya of Jaleswor-2, in front of the Nepal Red Cross Society road. He died while undergoing treatment at Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences at around 7.00 am on Sunday.

In another incident, Majeed Nadaf, 60, of Pipara rural municipality-2, Alipatti of the district died when he was hit by a sand-laden tipper (Na 1 Ka 9683) at Jaleswor-2, Buddhijiwichowk, Bardibas at 1.00 pm on Sunday. Critically injured in the accident, he died while being treated at the District Hospital Jaleswor.
