Sindhupalchowk bus accident update: Death toll rises to 12



SINDHUPALCHOWK: The number of people who lost their lives in the bus accident near Bhimtar of Sindhupalchowk this morning has reached 11.

While seven people died on the spot, one died while being taken to the hospital and three others breathed their last while undergoing treatment at the Dhulikhel Hospital, police said.

The ill-fated bus (Ba 2 Kha 3902) heading towards Kathmandu from Shivatar of Indrawati rural municipality-10 of the district met with an accident near Bhimtar, Parsuram Sah, in-charge of the Bhimtar police post told Khabarhub.

Over 50 people have been injured in the accident. The bus was carrying more than 90 passengers, the police said.

Meanwhile, the injured have been rescued. Social Development Minister of State 3 government, Yuvraj Dulal reached the accident site, his constituency, in an army helicopter to rescue the passengers.
