KATHMANDU: Chinese President Xi Jinping is paying a two-day state visit to Nepal commencing October 12 at the friendly invitation of President Bidya Devi Bhandari.
Visit by a Chinese President after a hiatus of 23 years to Nepal is expected to further strengthen ties between the two neighboring countries.
During the visit, President Xi is scheduled to meet with President Bhandari. He will also attend a banquet in his honor and the Chinese delegation.
Chinese President Xi will also hold delegation-level talks with Prime Minister KP Oli. The two sides will also sign bilateral agreements and memoranda of understanding between the two nations.
