Man arrested with stolen jewelries, cash

SOLUKHUMBU: Police have arrested a man while he was decamping with jewelries and cash from a house at Tamakhani in Solududhkunda Municipality-3.  The arrested has been identified as 27-year-old Binod Basnet of Likhupike Rural Municipality-3.

Basnet landed in police net while he was fleeing after stealing gold ornaments and cash from Sabitri Rajbhandari’s house, said Police Inspector Uttam Karki of District Police Office, Solukhumbu.

According to police, he stealthy broke into Sabitri’s house and stole a gold chain, two gold rings and a Qatari riyal.

Karki said they are investigating the case after taking Basnet into custody.
