NAWALPARASI: Police have arrested two leaders of the banned Communist Party of Nepal led by Netra Bikram Chand from the district.

The arrestees have been identified as Kamauddhin Ansari and Sharada Bhandari, both district members of the party. Ansari was arrested from his home at Ramgram-10 on Thursday morning, while Bhandari was held on Wednesday from Sarawal Rural Municipality-1.

Bhandari is also district chairperson of the All Nepal National Independent Students Union (Revolutionary) affiliated to the party.
