No scribes turned up to take photos of red carpet: PM Oli

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli said (that) some anti-government elements are active in spreading negative rumors to make fail the government.

Inaugurating a program on Constitution Implementation and Administrative Restructuring organized by the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration on Wednesday, Prime Minister Oli said the government will move ahead despite illusions spread the anti-government elements.

Speaking on the occasion, Prime Minister Oli expressed dissatisfaction at the coverage of an event where he was walking on a red carpet placed on a muddy place in the past. “I walked on the red carpet today, too, but no photojournalists turned up for its coverage,” said Oli.

Oli vented ire saying that people are blaming the government even for the muddy and incomplete roads which were initiated by the previous governments.

On a different note, Oli said he was out in a dark about the letter sent by the Indian Embassy seeking halt on the test conducted on fruits and vegetables laced with pesticides coming to Nepal from India.
