Militants storm Pearl Continental Hotel in Gwadar



GWADAR : Three to four armed militants have stormed into Pearl Continental (PC) Hotel in Gwadar, the port city on the southwestern coast of Balochistan, and started firing.

Pakistani media quoting Gwadar Station House Officer (SHO) Aslam Bangulzai said that firing was first heard at around 4:50 pm and there are no reports of any casualties yet.

The five-star hotel is popular among tourists for business and leisure. China is currently working with the federal government to develop Gwadar port to facilitate connectivity and trade.
