13th SAG closing ceremony begins

KATHMANDU: The closing ceremony of the 13th South Asian Games (SAG) has begun at the Tripureshwor-based Dashrath Stadium on Tuesday evening.

The closing ceremony will last for around one and a half hours and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defense Ishwar Pokharel will be the chief guest of the closing ceremony.

On the occasion, the SAG flag would be handed over to Pakistan, the host for the 14th SAG.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, meanwhile, has expressed his sincere thanks and deep appreciation to all Member States and players for their active participation in the 13th SAG and making it a grand success.

“The SAG has further promoted understanding, goodwill, harmony, unity and solidarity among the people of our region,” PM Oli has said in a message on Tuesday.

He has also thanked one and all for their respective contributions to make the mega event a grand success.

“We were truly honored to host this mega event, ” PM Oli has said in his message.
