Province Minister Rawal resigns over fraud



DHANGADI: State Minister for Industry, tourism, forest and environment of Sudurpaschhim Province, Prakash Rawal, has resigned today.

He submitted his resignation to Chief Minister of Sudurpaschhim Province, Trilochan Bhatta on moral grounds.

He stepped down after the Department of Money Laundering Investigation initiated a probe against him after a case was filed at District Court, Kanchanpur accusing him of fraud.

Rawal was accused of being involved in fudging the share documents in Kanchanpur.

He was elected as a State Assembly Member from Kanchanpur Constituency No 3 ‘A’ and was appointed to the post of Minister of State for Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment on October 9, 2018.
