House panel summons PM Oli to discuss border issue

KATHMANDU: The State Affairs and Good Governance Committee of the House of Representatives has summoned Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to discuss the border issue with India.

The parliamentary committee decided to summon the prime minister for a meeting on Monday after the members demanded to hold discussions with PM Oli over the inclusion of Nepali territories in the new political map by India.

Likewise, the International Relations Committee has summoned Foreign Minister Pradeep Kumar Gyawali over the issue.

Earlier on Saturday, during an all-side meeting called by PM Oli, the prime minister had said the government will immediately take the diplomatic initiative to resolve disputes on the Nepal-India border, including Kalapani.
