Number of people returning to Kathmandu after Dashain increases

KATHMANDU: The number of people entering Kathmandu Valley after celebrating Dashain festival has increased.

Traffic police said over 70,759 people and 11,421 vehicles entered Kathmandu Valley from Wednesday morning to Thursday morning.

Likewise, around 56,705 people left Kathmandu during the same period.

A total of 38,933 people entered Kathmandu Valley via Jagati, 26,356 from Nagdhunga checkpoint, 3,982 from Pharping and 1,487 and Munkhu from the check point.
