Woman killed in accident



TANAHUN: A woman died in a road mishap at Bandipur rural municipality-5 of Tanahun district along the Prithvi highway on Wednesday.

Her husband and son have been injured in the accident, police said.

The deceased has been identified as Sobha Dhital, 30 of Bharatpur, according to the District Police Office, Tanahun.

Suraj Dhital, 36, and their nine-year-old son Arpan Dhital have been injured in the accident, according to Leelaraj Lamichhane, Deputy Superintendent of Police.

The accident occurred when a jeep — Ba 18 Cha 5316 — heading towards Dumre from Muglin hit the scooter — State 3-00-01 Pa 83 — coming from the opposite direction.

Shova died while undergoing treatment at New Medical College, Bharatpur on Wednesday night.

Suraj and Arpan are receiving treatment at the same hospital.
