No possibility to upset history, says Prachanda

KATHMANDU: Chairman of the ruling Nepal Communist Party Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias ‘Prachanda’ on Saturday said that efforts to upset the history would be in vain as changes continue to move ahead and there is no looking back.

“None can ruin achievements gained through long struggles and sacrifices. The cycle of history continues to make strides. Those trying to throw away it have fallen behind. Nepal is no exception,” he said in his address to the valley-level joint district council of the Integrated All Nepal Teachers’ Association here.

Stating that party unification was meant to save Nepali politics from reactionary forces, he said old school of thoughts, structures, norms and values would be replaced with noble ones.

He also pointed out the need for the roles of teachers in keeping up the whole education system of the country in a way to pursue a socialist education policy.
