KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari today said that literature, art and music play significant role to make Nepal known to the rest of the world.

Stating that Nepal is rich in natural beauty and cultural diversity, she urged one and all to join hands to encourage people who are involved in music and arts. Speaking at a program ‘Nepal Music and Drama National Art Award-2075’ organized at the President’s office, Shital Niwas on Wednesday, President Bhandari claimed that Nepal’s literature could get international exposure if its creations are made available in other languages as well.

On the occasion, she gave away letter of appreciation and honor to senior dramatist and director Shyam Das Baishnab as well as senior singer Prem Dhoj Pradhan, among others.
