LONDON: Britain’s ambassador to Washington Kim Darroch resigned today after US President Donald Trump described him ‘wacky’ and ‘stupid’ after the release of some confidential memos from the ambassador in which Darroch termed Trump’s administration inept, international media reports have said.
Confidential memos from Darroch were leaked to a British Sunday newspaper that infuriated Trump who launched a Twitter attack on the envoy and British Prime Minister Theresa May.
Trump also said he would not deal with Darroch and labeled May ‘foolish’. (Agencies)
