Gunmen massacre 18 in Papua New Guinea

SYDNEY (Reuters) – Gunmen have massacred at least 18 people in a village in Papua New Guinea, international media reports have said.

The victims include women and children. Prime Minister James Marape promised to hunt down the gunmen.

Philip Undialu, the governor of Hela Province described the incident as a ‘very sad story’. Pictures showed the dead wrapped in clothes and laid by the side of a road. (Agencies)
