13 Islamic State fighters killed in US air strike



NAIROBI: 13 Islamic State fighters were killed in Somalia following a US air strike, international media report stated.

The fighters were killed in semi-autonomous Puntland region on Wednesday, Reuters reported.

The U.S. military has escalated its campaign of air strikes in Somalia since President Donald Trump took office.
