2 die of asphyxiation while cleaning septic tank



BANKE: Two workers died of asphyxiation  while cleaning a septic tank in Kohalpur Municipality-11 in the district on Tuesday night.

The deceased have been identified as Kumar Tharu, 50, and Chetram Tharu of Kohalpur Municipality-6, confirmed DSP Ramesh Bahadur Singh of Area Police Office, Kohalpur.

The incident took place when they were cleaning the septic tank in the house belonging to Ram Prasad Sigdel in Kohalpur Municipality-11.

Their bodies were retreated from the septic tank and taken to Banke District Hospital for postmortem.
