SYANGJA: A person died in a road accident in Syangja district on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as 65-year-old Fulmaya Sarki of Bhirkot municipality-3, Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Syangja, Nabin Krishna Bhandari said.
The accident occurred when a bus bearing registration number Lu 1 Kha 7664 heading towards Butwal from Pokhara hit her at Waling along the Siddhartha Highway.
She breathed her last while undergoing treatment at the District Hospital, Syangja.
Police arrested bus driver Netra Lal Bhattarai.
