BPKIHS to be developed as a university: Minister Yadav

DHARAN: Minister for Health and Population, Upendra Yadav has reiterated the government’s efforts to develop the Dharan-based BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS) as a university.

The BPKIHS Senate meeting had decided in this regard last year.

Minister Yadav said that construction efforts to build a health post in each ward, a primary health center in each rural municipality, a city hospital in the municipality and a health institution in the state has been government’s topmost priority.

Speaking at a program to mark the 26th anniversary of the BPKIHS, Minister Yadav said the government was taking measures to control the spreading dengue.
