Three tiers of govt to work together for ensuring smooth supply of essentials



KATHMANDU: In a bid to ensure smooth supply of the essentials in the coming festive season, the federal government has started collaborating with state and local governments.

In this regards, the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supply on Friday discussed with ministers concerned with commerce and supply, mayors of metropolitan city and sub-metropolitan city of all seven States in order to make supply management effective, so that consumers would not be betrayed.

On the occasion, Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supply, Matrika Yadav, pointed out the need of robust coordination among three-tier governments to make supply smooth.

Saying the federal government has started a new scheme in supply management bringing State and local governments into confidence, Minister Yadav stated that supply management would be smooth with the collective initiative of three-tier governments.
