KERALA: Incessant rains have continued to wreak havoc in the Indian state of Kerala killing around 14 people since Thursday, Indian media reports have said.

Over 22,000 have been evacuated so far to 315 relief camps.

Kerala’s Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has sought the help of the army.

In Kerala’s Wayanad, a landslide has marooned more than 2,000 people. The landslide has also damaged a temple, mosque and some estate workers quarters in the area.

Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in Kerala till August 14. (Agencies)
