Two die in truck-motorcycle collision in Sarlahi



SARLAHI: Two people died after being hit by a truck in Hariwan Municipality along the East-west Highway.

The deceased are Bikram Das Kathaniya, 19, and Manoj Kumar Das, 29 of Barhathawa Muncipality-4, Sarlahi, said District Police Office, Sarlahi.

The incident took place when a truck, Na 5 Kha 6014, heading to east collided head-on with a motorcycle coming from the opposite direction.

Critically injured Bikram died in course of treatment at Namuna Hospital while Manoj Das succumbed to his injuries while being rushed to Bharatpur Hospital. Chitwan for further treatment.

Police have taken the truck under control while the driver is at large, said police.
