Govt committed to federalism: Dhakal

BIRATNAGAR: Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs has said that the federal government is committed to federalism. Speaking at a press meet organized by Press Chautari Morang today, he said the government was drafting laws to implement the constitution and federalism in the country. “Of the 339 laws, 165 have already been enacted while more are in the process of formulation and amendment,” he said.

The minister informed that the probe committee was looking into the alleged corruption in the purchase of wide-body aircraft adding that the government was holding regular consultation and deliberations with the judicial council to increase people’s faith towards the judiciary. The program was presided by Chautari chairman Ram Chandra Adhikari.
