KATHMANDU: Newly-crowned Miss Nepal 2019 Anushka Shrestha hails from Kathmandu and is currently living in Sydney.
She is a 23-year-old commerce graduate and had worked at Commonwealth Bank of Australia, one of the biggest financial institutions in Australia. She has been working in the financial sector for two years.
She is the winner of Miss Nepal Oceania 2018 and stands 5 feet 5 inches. Shrestha says her mantra in life is — big picture, small step.
In response to the question, “What is your take on the cliche that if we paid attention more to the responsibilities than rights, we would make the world better,” asked by the panel of judges, Anushka said, “Rights and responsibilities are the two sides of the same coin. The world would automatically turn out to be beautiful if we fulfilled out responsibilities at our level.”
