BHARATPUR: A person died when a scooter knocked him down at Bharatpur Metropolis-5, Pancharatna Chowk last evening.
The Chitwan District Police Office said that the scooter — Na 36 Pa 9324 — en route to Mangalpur from Bharatpur knocked the pedestrian.
Critically injured pedestrian breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Chitwan Medical College.
The scooter rider, Janak Kandel of Gaindakot municipality-10, Bhendabari, has been injured in the accident.
He is also undergoing treatment at the Bharatpur Hospital and is said to be in a critical condition.
