One killed in Bhaktapur road accident



BHAKTAPUR: A youth was killed and another was injured in a collision between a minibus and a motorcycle at Bhatedhikur of Surya Binayak municipality-8 in Bhaktapur today.

The deceased is the pillion rider on the motorcycle and is identified as 35-year-old Ram Bahadur Bhujel of Likhu rural municipality-4, Ramechhap district. He was currently living in Nalinchok of Surya Binayak municipality. Bhujel died while undergoing treatment at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital Maharajgunj.

Arjun Thami, 29, of Tripurasundari rural municipality-3, Sndhupalchok district, is seriously injured in the accident. He is currently living in Nalinchok of Bhaktapur. He was riding the motorcycle at the time of the accident.

The minibus (Ba 5 Kha 4367) was heading towards Banepa from Kathmandu. The motorcycle (Ba 24 Pa 2740) was coming from the opposite direction when the accident happened.

Police have impounded the minibus and the motorcycle involved in the accident. They have also arrested the bus driver 26-year-old Binod Khatri of Bhimeshwar municipality-8.
