NC President Deuba extends Dashain greetings

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress president Sher Bahadur Deuba has extended hearty best wishes to all Nepali sisters and brothers on the occasion of the auspicious occasion of Bijaya Dashami.

Issuing a message of best wishes today, leader Deuba said the religious and cultural festival, Bijaya Dashami, is a festival that gave the universal message of the victory of justice over injustice and truth over falsehood.

Deuba also described this festival celebrated by the Nepali society every year in the form of family love, social goodwill, mutual cooperation and unity as a unique culture of a multi-ethnic, multi-religious, multi-cultural, multi-linguistic nation, Nepal.

“These diversities with unique customs have become our national identity. The inherent sense of brotherhood in us has helped maintain a unparalleled unity amidst diversity. Unity in diversity is also the special identity of Nepalis. Bijaya Dashami has further strengthened the unity among us,” leader Deuba said.

Stating that the nation has already established a strong foundation of a federal, inclusive, democratic republic of Nepal after the conclusion of the election of all three levels under the Nepali Congress’ leadership, the NC president stressed that we could transform Nepal into a prosperous nation only if we could make the constitution of the federal democratic Nepal functional and institutionalized.

He expressed that Nepal has established its identity as a country spreading the message of peace throughout the world and the importance of Bijaya Dashami festival would be further enhanced if we could internalize it as a festival to be engaged in the overall interest of the country by forgetting any differences among us if any.

Leader Deuba also expressed the confidence that the festival of Bijaya Dashami would inspire all to take the country ahead on the path of economic prosperity by maintaining the institutional stability of the federal democratic republican governance system.
