NC lambasts government for failing to control dengue outbreak

KATHMANDU: Main opposition, Nepali Congress (NC) has lambasted the government for being a mere spectator at a time when over 70 thousand people have been affected by dengue.

Speaking during today’s session of the House of Representatives (HoR), NC lawmaker Pushpa Bhusal demanded a concrete action to control dengue, which has spread all over the country.

“What’s the government doing when the disease is becoming epidemic?” she queried urging the government to immediately present its strategy to control this disease.

She asked the government to mobilize medical teams to every nook and corner of the country to ensure that dengue does not spread elsewhere.

According to reports, a total of 3,580 patients are currently undergoing treatment in different hospitals across the country, while four people have lost their lives.
