ACHHAM: Two children died after being drowned in a local river at Libandali of Mangalsain municipality-7 in the district on Saturday, said the police.
The deceased have been identified as local residents, Lalit Badi, 11, and Yukesh Damai, 12, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Janak Bahadur Shahi.
The deceased had gone to graze cattle along with other six children on the same day, said the local people. The bodies of the deceased have been taken to the district hospital for postmortem.
