NEW DELHI: Pakistan has attempted to stop the Samjhauta Express in its move to act against India’s interests after New Delhi’s move on Article 370.

According to a Pakistani news channel, Pakistan has suspended Samjhauta Express citing security reasons.

Even though Pakistan Railway minister Sheikh Rasheed confirmed the suspension, it has not informed the Indian government about its latest move, reports said.

The suspension has resulted in a significant number of passengers being stranded at the Punjab Wagah-Attari border. (Agencies)
