Four-wheelers banned over Banbasa bridge over Mahakali floods



KANCHANPUR: The level of water in the Mahakali River is increasing. With the surge of the water level in the river, Indian site has temporarily put a ban on four-wheelers on the Banbasa bridge that connects Nepal and India.

“The water lever in the river went up due to heavy downpour last night. The four-wheelers have been prohibited after the the water level in the river increased,” said Area Police Office, Gaddachauki.

The volume of water in the Mahakali River was measured at 120, 800 cusec last night. The passengers have been hit with the ban on the vehicles.

The water level in the river surged after the heavy downpour occurred in the hilly region of the Far-west Province. The local administration has altered the locals.
