‘Visit Lumbini Year-2076’ campaign in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: The ‘Visit Lumbini Year-2076’ Campaign, which aims to attract domestic and foreign visitors to Lumbini, has reached Kathmandu.

With the slogan ‘Go to Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha, spread a message of peace’, the campaign has been launched by State 5 Ministry of Industry and Tourism with the support of the Siddhartha Hotel Association of Nepal (SAN).

As part of the campaign, a road show has been organized in Durbar Marga in Kathmandu by displaying an idol of Buddha, and a big image of Mayadevi temple

Meanwhile, the formal announcement of the campaign is taking place on May 18, which marks the 2563rd Buddha Jayanti.

The campaign started from Bhairahawa of Lumbini via Butwal, Syangja, Pokhara, and Tahanu.

Likewise, the second phase of the event will cover Hetauda, Janakpur, Birgunj, Itahari and Mechi while the third-phase will cover Dang, Nepalgunj, Mahendranagar, and Surkhet. Similarly, the fourth-phase will reach Kushinagar, Baneras, and Sarnath of India.
