WASHINGTON: Former CIA acting director Michael Morell has alleged Pakistan of creating terrorist groups to be a tool against India, The Statesman has reported.
Taking part in a podcast discussion, Morell labeled Pakistan as the world’s one of the most dangerous countries.
He said Pakistan, in fact, does not realize that keeping terrorists under the control is next to impossible. “They (terrorists) sooner or later come to bite you,” he said.
Morell said Pakistan, ultimately, maybe the world’s most dangerous country.
He also warned that Pakistan’s population is exploding, and the demographics are appalling. To recall, Morell has played a key role in the Abbottabad raid that killed the al-Qaeda chief, Osama bin Laden.
He referred to his impression about Pakistan saying that Pakistan’s economy is going nowhere. Moreover, he said, Pakistan cannot provide the jobs for the young people.
Morell, who was the deputy head in the CIA during the Obama administration, said Pakistan’s education system is literally broken.
According to him, Pakistan spent more money on nuclear weapons. He alleged the country of using terrorism as a tool against the Indians. (Agencies)
