NAWALPUR: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba said his party lost the elections due to intra-party conflicts.

Speaking at the Suryabhakta Patana Devi Memorial National Journalism Prize Distribution Ceremony organized by Nepal Press Union, Nawalpur chapter, in Kawasoti, President Deuba said the NC lost the elections due to division in the party.

“The communists jointly fought the elections even though they belonged to two parties but the NC being a one party was split into two groups during the elections which ultimately led to the defeat of the party,” said Deuba.
