KATHMANDU: Nepal has lost its captain Gyanendra Malla for a golden duck in the three-day first-class cricket tournament underway at the TU cricket tournament on Thursday.
Skipper Malla and Raju Rijal were in the opener for the second inning of the tournament when he faced a golden duck.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) had made 364 runs in the first inning against Nepal.
Nepal was playing the first-class match after almost 14 years. It had played the ICC-recognized first-class cricket tournament against the UAE in 2005.
Nepal will play T20 after this match. Earlier, Nepal defeated MCC by five wickets. MCC is currently on a tour in Nepal and is playing across multiple formats against Nepal in Kathmandu.
