KATHMANDU: Rainfall affected normal life in Kathmandu and other parts of the country on Thursday, as the Meteorology Forecasting Division forecasts moderate shower for another two days.

The Division has issued a forecast of rainfall in most parts of the country with snowfall in the mountainous region.

On Thursday, most parts of the country received rain and snowfall due to the influence of the westerly winds. Meanwhile, light snowfall is expected in areas such as Fulchowki, Daman and Chandragiri on Friday, the Division said.

In Humla, heavy snowfall has thrown life out of gear creating hardship to the locals. According to the Division, the weather system that entered into Nepal from Jammu Kashmir of India has spread its influence from the west to the eastern part.

The influence is spreading to the eastern region, according to the Division.
