NPC, TAC to vie for PM Cup title Saturday

KATHMANDU: The departmental teams Nepal Police Club (NPC) and Tribhuvan Army Club (TAC) are vying for the title of the Prime Minister Cup One-Day National Men’s Cricket Tournament on Saturday.

The final has been scheduled at Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.

NPC reached the finals by defeating departmental Armed Police Force Club by five wickets in the semifinals, while TAC made it by thrashing State 3 by a wide margin of 117 runs. It may be noted that in the group phase, NPC defeated TAC by 50 runs.

The tournament was organized by the National Sports Council in collaboration with the Nepalaya International Pvt. Ltd. Winner will receive Rs 2 million, while first runner up Rs 1 million. Likewise, the best player will receive a motorcycle, while the best batsman and bowler Rs 50,000 each.
