Seven tourism sites in Rapti Municipality to be linked



CHITWAN: Works for the tourism promotion have begun by linking seven tourism sites of Rapti Municipality.

The tourism sector is being promoted through the Rapti Seven Circuit project in the municipality area.

Deputy Mayor of the Municipality Iman Singh Lama said that Rapti Unity Community Forest located at ward no 5 of the municipality is being developed as an open zoo. A view tower and Bageshwori temple located towards east from community forest are going to be spruced up.

Similarly, a Buddhist monastery is going to be constructed at Anemang. One can easily view Chitwan district as well as neighboring districts from north part of Anemang.

Activities for ecotourism at Bhawanipur of Rapti municipality-4 would be started. An ethnic museum and park would also be constructed.

Around Rs 2 billion has been expected to complete all these works. The seven circuits could also be linked with Sauraha, Lumbini, Kathmandu and Pokhara.
