NEW DELHI: Scores of people protested outside the Supreme Court on Tuesday after Indian Chief Justice was cleared of a sexual harassment charge.

The protests were staged a day after a panel of judges dismissed a sexual harassment case against the CJ. The agitators, carrying placards, demanded a new and impartial investigation into the case.

A former court assistant had accused chief justice Ranjan Gogoi of having made unwanted sexual advances last year — charges which he has been denying.
