Parki wins gold in 5,000-meter run

KATHMANDU: Nepali athlete Gopi Chand Parki won a gold medal in the 5,000-meter run on Thursday.

Likewise, field athlete, Hari Rimal won a bronze medal.

In the race held at the Dasharath Stadium on Friday, Parki completed the distance in 14:54:20 minutes leaving India’s Sunil Dawar. Sunil took 14:55:21 minutes.

Likewise, Parki’s compatriot Rimal finished the track in 14:57:07 minutes.
