Two killed in Ekantakuna road mishap



KATHMANDU: Two people died after a scooter they were riding on went out of control and hit a truck parked at Ekantakuna.

The deceased have been identified as scooter driver Pawal Saud, 24, and a female who was riding pillion. Her identity is yet to be ascertained.

Saud and the pillion rider who sustained critical injuries breathed their last while undergoing treatment at B and B Hospital, said chief of Metropolitan Police Circle, Satdobato, Gautam Mishra. The scooter was heading to Balkhu from Satdobato area, according to Mishra.

Meanwhile, police have arrested 45-year-old truck driver Narendrea Budha of Gaumukhi Rural Municipality-2, Pyuthan and is investigating the case.
