15 bridges to be constructed in Bheri corridor: Minister Basnet



JAJARKOT: The government is planning to construct around 15 bridges along the Jajarkot-Dolpa road section under the Bheri Corridor.

Minister for Forest and Environment Shakti Bahadur Basnet informed that the construction of bridges will take place from the current fiscal year after completing the design cost estimation.

Minister Basnet said the government is completing the design cost estimation of all bridges within the next couple of months.

“Then the construction work will be initiated,” he said adding that the construction of eight bridges along the Jajarkot section and seven bridges along the Dolpa section would kick-start this year.

According to him, the bridges would be constructed over the Nalgad river, Jhurme rivulet, Sapnekhet, Kholekhet, Tratragad, Khamauri rivulet, Tansugad, and Bheri river along the Jajarkot section.

Similarly, bridges would be constructed over the Usum rivulet, Rijigar rivulet, Bheri river Khadang, Karawgad rivulet, Chhalgad rivulet, Khadang rivulet, and Tripurasundari Bheri River along the Dolpa section.
