1 dies, 12 confirmed with dengue in Sudurpaschim State



KAILALI: A total of 12 people have tested positive for dengue in the four districts of Sudurpaschim State.

Dengue, a mosquito-borne disease, is found to have infected five people in Darchula followed by four in Kailali, one in Kanchanpur, one in Achham, and one in Doti, according to authorities at the Sudurpaschim Regional Health Directorate Dipayal.

Likewise, a person, identified as Chhatra Malasi, 42, has died from the disease in Doti. He was suffering from headache and fever and was admitted to Kailali-based Mayametro Hospital.
