31-member preliminary team announced for FIFA World Cup Qualifiers



KATHMANDU: Head coach Johan Kalin on Tuesday reduced his preliminary roster of the national team to 31-men for the FIFA World Cup 2022 Qualifiers.

Kalin’s 36-man preliminary squad has been preparing for the Qualifiers from last few months at the ANFA Complex.

Kamal Shrestha, Nitin Thapa, Sesehang Amdangbe, Amit Tamang and Mickchen Tamang are the five players cut by head coach Kalin. Except for Manang Marshyandi defender Kamal Shrestha, other axed players will then report the U-23 training camp since the team is preparing for the South Asian Games under Bal Gopal Maharjan.
