ST PETERSBURG: Russian President Vladimir Putin warned U.S. against any military intervention in Venezuela will bring disaster. Putin said so on Thursday.
Even Washington’s allies don’t support such a course of action, he added while speaking at an economic forum in St Petersburg.
‘Russian technical specialists are in Venezuela in order to service Russian military hardware,’ Putin added that they were contractually obliged to do.
Putin denied any such move of Moscow of setting up any special military bases in Venezuela, a close Russian ally.
