2 workers of TMC killed in West Bengal

KOLKATTA: Two workers of Trinamool Congress (TMC) party were killed in two days in Cooch Bihar and 24 Parganas of West Bengal, Indian media reports have said.

Trinamool party has blamed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for both killings.

A TMC worker, Nirmal Kundu, was killed in public glare in North 24 Paraganas by bike-borne assailants.

Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee will visit the deceased today evening, reports said. Police have arrested two people, who are BJP affiliates.

In another incident, Ajijar Ali, a TMC worker, was killed in Cooch Behar.

Ali was returning home when he was attacked by alleged BJP cadres, police said. (Agencies)
